Find the few assumptions a plan rests on, take the answer apart and rebuild it, then use the method on pricing, market sizing and calls with no precedent.
Most business answers are copied: a competitor's pricing page, a template, last year's plan with new dates. They look fine until the conditions behind them change, and then nobody can say why the numbers are what they are.
First-principles thinking is reasoning a decision down to what has to be true and building the answer back up from there. It is slower than copying, so the course also teaches when the copied answer is the right one and the method is not worth the time.
You find the few assumptions a plan actually rests on, take a price or a plan apart into pieces you can check, and rebuild from the constraints. Then you use the same moves to size a market from the ground up, set a price from the buyer's decision, and make a call where no comparable case exists. Every practice runs on decisions from your own work.
You walk away with one live decision worked through end to end: traced, sorted, rebuilt and tied to a test with the verdict written in advance.
Founders: face decisions with no template and need to defend a call to investors and their own team.
Operators and managers: want to question the inherited plan instead of executing it on autopilot.
Consultants and analysts: need to build a market size or pricing case from the ground up when the report does not exist yet.
